Dr. Annabel Nunez-Gaunaurd, PhD, PT received her PhD in Physical Therapy in the area of Outcome Based Research from the University of Miami and her Masters in Physical Therapy & her BS in Exercise Science from Florida International University. Prior to joining iTrace, Annabel participated in National Institute of Health (NIH) funded exercise intervention research for patients at risk for Dementia with the University of Miami and Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida. She also served as a clinical consultant for Miami-Dade County Public School’s Shaping the Future Project. She is responsible for overseeing community based research efforts in the areas of childhood overweight & obesity and physical activity across the lifespan. She works with the Foundation’s staff, board and field experts to explore potential areas of interest and initiate research projects. She is also responsible for the dissemination of iTrace initiated research projects to local/national research meetings and scientific journals.
